Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is a joint university in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, established by Xi'an Jiaotong University and the University of Liverpool. Teaching is in English and follows a British curriculum, with degrees awarded by both institutions.
Undergraduate and postgraduate programs cover engineering, computer science, business, architecture, design, mathematics, biology and Chinese studies, and the university's international faculty teach in small seminar groups. The campus in the Suzhou Industrial Park is modern and residential, with laboratories, a library and student housing on site, and Shanghai is about thirty minutes away by high-speed rail.
