BEng (Hons) Artificial Intelligence

The BEng (Hons) Artificial Intelligence at XJTLU equips students with expertise in computer science and AI, including programming, machine learning, natural language processing and computer vision. The four-year, English-taught program offers two pathways — Advanced Industrial Artificial Intelligence (Taicang) and Intelligent Systems (Suzhou Industrial Park) — with articulation options at the University of Liverpool. Graduates earn both an XJTLU degree and a University of Liverpool degree.

The BEng Artificial Intelligence at XJTLU is jointly delivered by the School of AI and Advanced Computing and the School of Advanced Technology, offering two pathways: Advanced Industrial Artificial Intelligence (AIAI-XEC) at XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang), focusing on industrial integration through the Syntegrative Education Model, and Intelligent Systems (IS-SIP) at Suzhou Industrial Park, focusing on fundamental AI subjects. Students master programming, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing and computer vision, with optional studies in robotics, IoT, supply chain, smart manufacturing and semiconductor technology. Students have articulation options at the University of Liverpool, including 2+2 and 2+1+1 pathways.

The AIAI-XEC pathway includes Python for AI, Data Structures and Algorithms, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Pattern Recognition and Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing and Generative AI. The IS-SIP pathway includes C/C++ Programming, Electrical Circuits, Digital Electronics, Maths for Machine Learning, Principles of Machine Learning, Data Engineering, AI Agents, Deep Learning, Pattern Recognition in Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing, plus a Final Year Project.
