Ocean University of China is a university in Qingdao, Shandong Province, with a research focus on the ocean. Oceanography, marine science, fisheries, food science, environmental science, marine engineering and atmospheric science are its principal fields, supported by research vessels and coastal field stations.
English-taught programs are available at master and doctoral level in marine science, fisheries and food science, while undergraduate teaching is mainly in Chinese with Chinese language preparation available. The Laoshan campus is on the eastern edge of Qingdao near the coast, and the city's port, marine industries and beaches shape daily student life. Qingdao is well connected by high-speed rail to Beijing and Shanghai.
