Guangzhou University is a comprehensive municipal university in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Civil engineering, architecture, computer science, business, education, chemistry and environmental science are among its main fields, and much of its research addresses urban development in the Pearl River Delta.
International students take Chinese language courses, Chinese-taught degrees in engineering, business and education, or a limited number of English-taught master programs. The main campus on Xiaoguwei Island in the University Town shares facilities with nine other Guangzhou universities, and central Guangzhou is reachable by metro in about half an hour.
