China University of Petroleum (Beijing) is a university in Beijing focused on the petroleum and energy industries. Petroleum engineering, geological resources, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, safety engineering, geophysics and storage and transportation are its core fields.
English-taught programs are offered at master and doctoral level in petroleum engineering, geoscience, chemical engineering and safety engineering, and undergraduate teaching is mainly in Chinese. The main campus in Changping District lies north of the city on the edge of the hills, and the university's industry links give students access to oilfield projects, research institutes and energy companies.
