Beijing University of Technology is a municipal engineering university in Beijing. Civil engineering, environmental engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, computer science, transportation and architecture are its main fields, and much of its research addresses urban infrastructure and pollution control.
International students are admitted to English-taught master and doctoral programs in civil engineering, environmental engineering, materials and computer science, and to Chinese-taught degrees after language preparation. The main campus in Chaoyang District is in the east of the city, close to the central business district, and Beijing's construction, transport and environmental sectors provide placement opportunities.
