Beijing University of Chemical Technology is an engineering university in Beijing focused on chemical engineering and materials. Chemical engineering, polymer materials, biotechnology, pharmaceutical engineering, environmental engineering and process equipment are its core fields, and its teaching laboratories are concentrated in these areas.
English-taught programs are offered at master and doctoral level in chemical engineering, materials science, biotechnology and environmental engineering, and undergraduate degrees are taught mainly in Chinese. The main campus in Chaoyang District is in the east of the city, close to the central business district, and the university's industry links give students access to chemical, pharmaceutical and materials companies for internships.
