Beijing Institute of Technology is an engineering university in Beijing with strengths in aerospace, mechanical engineering, automation, information technology, materials science and vehicle engineering. Its research has long been connected to national defence and to advanced manufacturing.
English-taught programs are available at bachelor, master and doctoral level in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and management, and a large share of international students enrol in these. The main campus in Haidian District is close to the city's technology districts, and the university's laboratories in robotics, vehicle engineering and information systems support practical coursework.
