Yangzhou University is a comprehensive provincial university in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, formed by merging several institutions. Crop science, veterinary medicine, Chinese literature, chemistry, food science, hydraulic engineering and education are among its main fields.
International students take Chinese language courses, Chinese-taught degrees in agriculture, engineering and humanities, or a smaller number of English-taught master programs in food science and agriculture. The campus in Yangzhou is set in a smaller city between Nanjing and Shanghai, with lower living costs, historic gardens and canals, and high-speed rail links to both cities.
