The University of Science and Technology of China is a science and engineering university in Hefei, Anhui Province, established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Physics, chemistry, mathematics, materials science, computer science, geoscience and engineering science are its core fields, and its teaching is closely tied to national research institutes.
International students are admitted mainly to English-taught master and doctoral programs in the sciences and engineering, and undergraduate teaching is largely in Chinese.
