Taiyuan University of Technology is an engineering university in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. Chemical engineering, materials science, mining engineering, metallurgy, civil engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering are its principal fields, shaped by Shanxi's coal, coke and metals industries.
