China University of Geosciences (Beijing) is a university in Beijing specialising in geoscience and resources. Geology, geological engineering, geophysics, geochemistry, mineral resources, environmental science, water resources and land surveying are its core fields, and it operates field stations for geological mapping and fieldwork.
English-taught master and doctoral programs are available in geology, geological engineering, geophysics and environmental science, while undergraduate teaching is mainly in Chinese. The campus in Haidian District is close to Beijing's research institutes and to the geology museums and collections of the city, and fieldwork forms a required part of most geoscience degrees.
